Meredith Turits lives, writes, and defends the Oxford comma in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Professionally, she specalizes in developing brand identity and digital content and marketing strategies for scale, plus launching new ventures into the marketplace. With experience across several areas including finance, media, SaaS, and CPG, she has worked as a managing editor, editorial director, general manager, digital strategist, business development director, product manager, and more.
Meredith currently works as managing editor for Fundera, a small business finance marketplace for tools and decisions. She is also a parntner of digital strategy consultancy Brunch Money LLC, helping brands with digital content, marketing, and business strategy. She is formerly the founding editorial director and GM of Extra Crispy, a digital pure-play property within The Foundry at Time Inc.; a senior stragegist at Time Inc.; the founding senior editor of media startup Bustle.com, now Bustle Media Group; and associate online editor at Glamour.com, where she launched the news and politics vertical during the 2012 presidental election.
Her culture writing and fiction has appeared in publications including Vanity Fair, ELLE, the New Republic, The Paris Review Daily, Rolling Stone, Colorado Business Magazine, Startup Nation, and more. She has ghostwritten for leaders in Forbes, Inc., Entrepreneur, Amex OPEN Forum, and more.
She is a magna cum laude graduate of Tufts University, where she studied Philosophy, concentrating in cognitive neuroscience, language, and linguistics. She earned a minor in Communications and Media Studies through Tufts and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
